In today’s world, GAMERS play a very important role. Games are made according to their demands,many companies have earned a fortune by only making one game e.g Starcraft,World Of Warcraft,Call Of Duty etc. This whole phenomena started with the PC and then was taken over by PlayStation 2 (ps2),on the other hand MICROSOFT introduced its XBOX. Back in the days,The XBOX wasn’t much successful.Everybody had PS2,it came as no surprise that by January 2011 the PlayStation 2 had sold more than 150 million units,and sony has stated that it will continue to produce other PS2 titles until the demand ceases. After 10 successful years,PS2 is still The Best Selling Console of all time. On November 11, 2006 The PS3 was launched and has sold more than 47.9 million as of December 31, 2010. The Xbox 360 was Introduced on May 12, 2005 and sold out completely upon its release in all regions except Japan.
In today’s time,the XBOX 360 is more successful than the PS3 though the XBOX 360 has sold only .1 million units more than the PS3. The XBOX 360 is known as the PlayStation 2 (PS2) of today.
Below are the reasons why the XBOX 360 is more successful than the PS3.
1.No Cross Game Voice Chat.
On xbox 360 you can invite your friends to join in your party but on the ps3 you have to follow your friend from game to game just to talk to him.
2.Exclusives.
titles such as UNCHARTED,GOD OF WAR,INFAMOUS,KILLZONE sure are great but all those franchises combined haven’t sold as much as only HALO (Xbox 360 exclusive) has.
3.Graphics.
The GPU is more powerful. It has more powerful fillrate, and far more pixel and vertex processing horsepower. Part of the reason is their choice of memory, and architecture of pixel and vertex processing. I can’t get into details but the same vertex shader will run much slower on the PS3 than the XBOX 360.
4.Performance.
The three general-purpose CPU’s the xbox360 has are currently FAR easier to take advantage of than the SPU’s on the PS3
5.Live.
The Xbox live is much more fun than the PS3‘s Online.Xbox Live allows users to create a user profile, join on message boards, and access Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade and Marketplace and talk to other members.
Compared to The PS3,The Xbox 360 is better in all aspects.

ive both consoles and ive to say that I love my ps3 for the fact that I can play online for free instead of paying money for shitty xbox gold. Secondly the ps3 is a mush better multimedia system…Build in Browser, Blue Ray.
The exclusive titles for ps3 might not sold as much as halo but some of them are just awesome and the last HALO was shit compared to halo1!
I love both consoles but ps3 is still my favourite because of the free internet….technically they both have advantages but if u r a graphics freak throw them both away and get a pc.

This has become the typical argument point used by PS3 users. The reason why Microsoft makes you pay for Xbox live is because it has a lot more features than PSN and has a much better community. Also the PS3 and Xbox are gaming consoles, not multi media consoles. If you wan’t multi media options then get a Pc (Pc = Windows = Microsoft).

The dude who did this article is clearly a fanboy, Ps3 is way better, you have a charge controller not a batterys shitty one, xbox controller looks like a fucking brick you can kill someone with that shit, Ps3 has Wireless Inside, PSN is FREE, and now u can also talk with your friends while in different games, PS3 if played in a HD television with HDMI Cable is way better than Xbox Graphics and I bet you only play FPS because all the FPS companies are fucking whores and do the game way better for the Xbox, Like COD:Black Ops
and dont try to compare PS2 with Xbox360, ps2 is way better at least you dont have to buy one each 2months because of Ring of Death
