Yes,it is official. We just got the news that Michael Bay is closed to signing on the Transformers 4 deal. Michael Bay said before the release of Transformers : Dark of the Moon that there wont be another sequel and even if there is,he wont be returning. Looks like,he has changed his mind.
According to Vulture, the deal is not sealed yet but their sources say it “is not far from closing.”
Michael Bay is set to direct a project called “Pain and Gain” this spring while the shooting for Transformers 4 will have a winter 2012 start.
Vulture claims the fourth installment “is definitely not a prequel, and that it will delve deeper into Transformers canon to mine older characters and lore.”
Lets hope he does return because Transformer’s real star is Michael Bay.
